I am a water bearer
submerged in my element
Cool oceans cascade and ripple through my veins
and seep out through my pores
saturating
my
parched
cracked
dusty
earth
I am a full blown and alive body of liquid
Swollen
with
rip tides
undercurrents
whirlpools
waterfalls
and
tidal waves
I
am
moist
with
the
memory
of
monsoon
downpours
and
misty
mountain
dew
Somewhere
howling
wind
drives
sheets
of
pelting
rain
onto
skin and rooftops
I love the vast sound of your grace
Your tributaries
that
traverse
ancient pathways
split
into
immense
webs
of
pure
life force
that
trickle
gush
ramble
spout
and
plummet
deep into my pools
You
drench
me
in
the
sweetest
nectar.
